Cooper Rogers

Cooper was a very good gentleman and a deeply loved member of our family. Though our time with him never could have been long enough, the joy, comfort, and laughter he brought into our lives will stay with us forever.

We adopted Cooper from a rescue that saved him from a kill shelter. At first, Jen thought he was a little oddly proportioned, but Seth immediately saw what mattered most — Cooper’s sweet and gentle spirit. He convinced us to bring him home, and looking back now, it’s impossible to imagine our lives if he hadn’t.

Cooper loved the simple things most: chasing squirrels, digging in the mulch, and faithfully patrolling the perimeter of the backyard fence. In his younger days he enjoyed hiking, camping, beach trips and chasing birds. Although, he was not a fan of when those birds might chase him back. He adored treats and made sure everyone knew it by barking enthusiastically at the pantry door. He preferred people over other dogs and never missed a chance to be close to his family.

He was also an expert sleeper, always happy to sleep in alongside his parents, and he wanted to be included in every adventure. The sound of car keys brought instant excitement, and few things disappointed him more than being left behind when the family went somewhere without him.

More than anything, Cooper loved being with his people. He is survived by his parents, Seth and Jen, his brother Ben, and his sister Mia, all of whom will miss him beyond words.

Goodbye, Cooper the Pooper. Thank you for every wet nose print on the car window, every bark for treats, every backyard patrol, and every moment of unconditional love. You were the very best boy.
