GG Kimrey

On September 15, 2026, our fur-baby ended her slow stroll to the rainbow bridge. Born in Louisiana, raised by a human after her canine mom passed while giving birth, she was blessed with the name GG short for Gloria Gaynor singer of the hit “I Will Survive.” And survive she did. In her younger years she loved to play fetch, forever keeping one ball in her mouth while chasing the others. A hoarder of “babies” (plush dog toys) she would always greet you with one in her mouth. Dinner time was a family affair and GG never missed an opportunity to try what was on her mom’s plate sitting patiently waiting for a taste or two, but protecting her human was what she did best and she fulfilled it with fierce devotion and a heart full of loyalty. She loved her sister Kizzy with a depth only animals truly understand. When Kizzy passed, a part of GG went with her. She grieved in that silent, soulful way dogs do…carrying the loss but still showing up for the ones who needed her. GG leaves behind her feline brother Chevy and her canine brother Ranger, who will feel her absence in the rhythms of their days, the missing footsteps, the quiet authority, the gentle presence that kept the household balanced. She lived her life with clarity: love your humans, protect your home, and stay close to the ones who make your heart feel safe. GG did all of that beautifully. She was a guardian, a companion, a sister, and for almost 13 years a steady light in our lives. She leaves this world wrapped in love, remembered with reverence, and missed beyond measure.
