We were amazingly lucky to have Kaida. Our home was so much brighter in the 11 years we spent with him. I've never met a dog who seemed to have such a sense of humor. Even with the pain of old age and various health issues, he stayed mischievous and playful. Putting the harness on to go outside was still a game to him. Akitas are known for being quiet, but he loved to talk, sing, grumble, and happy-growl. He never got out of the habit of stealing socks and it never stopped being at least a little bit funny. I could write pages about all of his little mannerisms and quirks; he was such an interesting, sweet, cheerful dog and we miss him more than can be put to words. We love you so much, buddy. You made every bad day more bearable and every room warmer with your presence.
