In Loving Memory of Kyro Nava-Trujillo

Lovingly known as Baby Kyro

March 13, 2012 – October 25, 2026

Forever loved. Forever our little boy.

Kyro Nava-Trujillo, lovingly known as Baby Kyro, passed away on October 25, 2026, in North Carolina, at the age of 14. Born on March 13, 2012, in North Carolina, he was a cherished fur son, beloved family member, & a deeply treasured presence in the lives of all who knew him.

He will be remembered with great affection for his friendly spirit, gentle heart, adventurous nature, & the unconditional love he brought into his family's life every day.

Kyro lived a life marked by tenderness, resilience, & a remarkable capacity to bring light into the home & hearts of those around him. Though he faced many chronic health issues & cancer, & endured considerable pain & illness, he remained dearly loved & surrounded by devotion. In accordance with compassionate care, he was humanely euthanized after his condition became too difficult for him to bear. His passing closed a chapter that was never long enough, but the warmth of his presence will continue to be felt by those who loved him most.

His Family

Kyro was the beloved companion of Josue, his second human dad, & Michelle, also known as Lilith, his human mum.

He was also deeply loved by Ryan, his first human dad, & Tonya, his human grama, whose care & affection were part of the foundation of his life.

He is lovingly remembered by John, his first human grandpa, & Jeff, his second human grandpa, each of whom held a special place in his story.

Kyro's family circle extended beyond people to include Silas, his fur catbrother, & Bruno, his fur dog brother. Both shared in the rhythms of his daily life & the companionship that made his world complete.

A Little Soul Who Found His Way Home Written by his hooman mum

Kyro's story began when he was just a tiny runt kitten, abandoned by his mother & siblings. His earliest memories were of being tucked safely inside my shirt, close to my heart, where he found the warmth, security, & comfort he needed.

From those first precious days, he grew up surrounded by love, warmth, & plenty of snacks. That tiny little kitten became a beautiful black Bombay boy with striking yellow-green eyes & a personality that was every bit as special as his little heart.

He was cuddly, extremely curious, mischievous, adorable, affectionate, & protective. He had a distinctive, impossibly soft little meow that could melt a heart, & a way of making his presence known without ever needing to say much.

Kyro was deeply attached to his human mum. He struggled with separation & always wanted to be close, preferably 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Wherever I was, that was where he wanted to be.

We cuddled constantly. He gave the very best snuggles, & those quiet moments together became some of the most precious parts of everyday life.

He loved his little toy balls with bells & especially enjoyed playing fetch. His curiosity & mischievous nature kept life interesting, & his affectionate little ways brought smiles even on the hardest days.

He wasn't simply a cat who lived in our home. He was part of its heartbeat.

Fourteen Years of Unconditional Love

There is something profoundly special about being chosen as the safe place for another little soul.

I was there when Kyro was small enough to fit inside my shirt, when he needed warmth, protection, & somewhere to belong. & for fourteen years, he continued to find his way back into my arms.

He grew up knowing love, & in return, he gave us a lifetime of companionship, affection, laughter, & memories that will never be replaced.

His little routines, familiar footsteps, soft meows, playful moments, & warm presence became woven into the fabric of our lives.

Though his body eventually grew tired & his illnesses became too much to bear, his life was never defined by his suffering. It was defined by the love he received, the love he gave, & the beautiful little soul he was.

Until We Meet Again

The house may feel a little quieter now. His favorite places hold memories, our arms miss his familiar weight, & our hearts will forever listen for the sound of his little meow.

There is no easy way to say goodbye to a companion who has been part of your everyday world for fourteen years.

But if love could have kept him here forever, he would have never needed to leave our side.

We hope Kyro knew that he was safe, cherished, wanted, & loved beyond measure. He was never abandoned again. He was never without a family. He was our Baby Kyro, & he always will be.

He came into this world as a tiny little kitten who needed somewhere warm & safe to belong. He found that place, & he filled it with fourteen years of immeasurable love.

Rest softly, our beautiful Baby Kyro.

May you be free from pain, illness, & suffering. May your little paws run freely again, & may there always be sunshine, warm places to curl up, & endless little bell balls to chase.

You will forever have a place in our home, our memories, & our hearts.

You were loved from the very beginning, & you will be loved for all the days that follow.

Forever our Baby Kyro.

Loved beyond words. Missed beyond measure. Never forgotten.

A Letter to My Baby Kyro

From your human mum, Michelle (Lilith)

My sweet Baby Kyro,

I don't know how to put fourteen years of loving you into words, & I don't know how to imagine my days without you beside me.

I still remember you as that tiny little runt kitten, abandoned & needing somewhere safe. I tucked you inside my shirt, close to my heart, & from that moment on, you became my little boy.

I watched you grow from that tiny baby into my beautiful, curious, mischievous Bombay boy. I gave you warmth, comfort, & more snacks than you probably ever needed. In return, you gave me something I could never have asked for: fourteen years of unconditional love.

You were always my little shadow. You wanted to be wherever I was, & you made sure I knew when you wanted cuddles, attention, or simply to be close. I'll miss your soft little meow, your curious eyes, your playful fetch games, & the way you curled up against me.

I'll miss our snuggles most of all.

I wish I could explain to you how much you meant to me. How many ordinary days you made special just by being there. How your little presence brought comfort in ways that words could never describe.

I wish your body hadn't become so tired. I wish I could have taken away every bit of pain & illness you endured. Having to let you go was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I never wanted your love for life to mean you had to keep suffering.

Please know that letting you go was never letting go of loving you. It was loving you enough to put your comfort before my own wish to keep you here.

You were my baby long before you ever knew what a family was. You never had to wonder where you belonged. You belonged with me.

& if I could go back to that very first day, knowing everything I know now, I would still tuck you inside my shirt, hold you close, & choose you all over again.

Thank you for choosing me as your person. Thank you for fourteen years of cuddles, laughter, companionship, & the most beautiful little friendship. Thank you for trusting me with your tiny life & allowing me to be your safe place.

You may no longer be beside me, but you will always be a part of me.

Sleep peacefully, my sweet boy. No more hurting. No more difficult days. Just rest.

I love you, Baby Kyro. I loved you then, I love you now, & I'll love you for the rest of my life.

Forever your mum,

Michelle (Lilith) ❤️
