Toby was so much more than a dog he was my baby, my best friend, my cuddle buddy, and truly a piece of my heart. For 16 beautiful years, he was there through so many different versions of me, especially throughout my adulthood. He was there when I had almost nothing, and he was there when I finally had adult money and could spend my whole check spoiling him. From Hello Kitty and Squishmallow beds to little outfits, trips, endless cuddles, and his favorite Sam’s chicken and McDonald’s nuggets, if I could give it to Toby, he was getting it. He was so in touch with his mommy’s emotions and somehow always knew when I needed him close. He had more nicknames than I could ever count, fleebs, Weenius, Dweenius, Sir Pepper butt, and probably a hundred more and every single one meant love. He lived such a full, spoiled, and incredibly loved life, and even became a daddy to Jia, Henny, and Junior, leaving little pieces of himself behind for us to love. Sixteen years still somehow wasn’t enough. There will never be another Toby, and when he left, a piece of my heart truly left with him. I hope he knew every single day just how deeply his mommy and family loved him and how much happiness he brought into my life. Until I get to hold my little Dweenius again, I hope he’s somewhere warm and happy, eating all the Sam’s chicken he wants and waiting for his mommy. I love you forever, Toby. Thank you for growing up with me and for giving me 16 years of the purest love I’ve ever known. 🤍
