Jenny Harwood

Manager of Pet Services

Jenny is a Stanly County native who grew up in a home full of animal lovers. From a young age, she was taught to show kindness and compassion to all living things—values that continue to guide her today. In 2011, Jenny adopted a puppy from the Stanly County Humane Society and began volunteering and fostering for the organization. Through that experience, she’s witnessed the incredible transformation of animals—from fear and sadness to joy and trust—once they’re given love and care.
Jenny’s passion for animal welfare is what led her to Hartsell Pet Services, where she became a full-time team member in 2018 after serving with Hartsell Funeral Home since 2005. With deep empathy for those experiencing the loss of a beloved pet, Jenny is committed to ensuring each one is treated with the same love and dignity she gives her own.

Dede Culp

Pet Services Specialist

Dede became a valued member of the Hartsell team in 2021. Originally from Indiana, she has called North Carolina home since 2001, bringing with her a strong work ethic and background in manufacturing. In 2020, she married her husband, Eric, and loves being a proud stepmom to Skyler. A lifelong animal lover, Dede shares her home with three beloved dogs—Isabelle, Daisy, and Grace. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering, gardening, and woodworking. With Dede, you can trust that your pet will be treated with the same love and compassion she gives her own furry family.

Jane Huneycutt

Pet Services Receptionist

Jane serves as the warm and welcoming receptionist at Hartsell Pet Services. She joined the team in 2025 but has been a valued member of Hartsell Funeral Homes since 2003. A dedicated community servant, Jane spent 32 years as a first responder with the Endy Volunteer Fire Department. Her deep love for both people and pets shines through in everything she does. Jane and her husband, Oron, have always considered their pets part of the family. Their current companion, Ziggy, never misses a ride—unless you beat him to the truck for the best seat! With Jane at the front desk, you can trust that every pet is treated with heartfelt compassion, dignity, and care.
